  1. These are the manual pages for C News proper; one or two other pages for
  2. auxiliary programs that you might want to install in their own right are
  3. scattered here and there in other directories.

  5. These pages use the .TH macro in the following way:
  6.  
  7.     .TH <title> <chapter> "<date>" "C News"
  8.  
  9. On some systems the last argument gets ignored, or put in a funny place
  10. in headers or footers.  There is no portable fix, as people have messed
  11. with the -man macros in too many different ways.

  13. The only fonts used are the standard R, I, and B.
  14.  
  15. If you do not have nroff/troff, there are various ways of reading this
  16. stuff.  Note, in particular, that the Formatter Police are not going to
  17. come and drag you away for reading the raw sources, which are not very
  18. complicated or hard to read.  If you absolutely can't read anything
  19. that isn't filled and justified, the awf text formatter (comp.sources.unix:
